Newfound Lake

Newfound Lake shares the sensibility of Squam Lake in its longstanding attention to conservation and its aura of classic lake living. While Newfound Lake towns such as Bristol, Bridgewater, and Hebron have a timelessness about them (with Plymouth to the North and Meredith below), it is only a short drive to venture into busier areas for concerts, shops, restaurants, and shopping.

The Lakes Region of New Hampshire is well known for four-season activities. Newfound Lake is no exception. One of the best known salmon and lake trout lakes in New Hampshire, Newfound Lake has a reputation for its exceptionally large lake trout, in fact, the record lake trout for New Hampshire was caught here. The bottom is rocky and very sandy. Newfound is one of the last Class A lakes in the state. For winter activities, several ski areas on Route 93 are within easy driving distance from many parts of Newfound Lake. The Inn on Newfound Lake, well known for it's charm and cuisine, is a New England getaway for all seasons.
